A Nice Evening Out.

With all this cold weather, I am so ready for a nice evening out. So.. today after work, I went to a fun, party with the ladies at work. We had so much fun! We laughed and laughed. On my way home, I made dinner plans with our friends Sara and Matt, to go out to a bar downtown. We went downtown, and had dinner and then decided to head downtown East Lansing. We went to a cool, little bar downtown. We had great conversations and good drinks! It was a good times!

Sometimes, I am so thankful to not have kids! No messes in my house and I can just enjoy my time out. There are benefits to not having children.

This Weather Is Driving me NUTS!

This weather is driving me crazy!! I know that I shouldn't be complaining because we had such a mild December! But I just can't stand this freezing cold temps!! I am going stir crazy!

If everything goes well, (pending no snow storms) I am hoping to be going up North to check out some Shih tzu dogs. (pictured on the left) Isn't she cute? Gary says that they are ugly, but I don't care! I have wanted a small dog for so long, and now is my chance! I just love the personality of shih tzu's because they are so dosile, and lovers. Gary keeps trying to talk me into a Yorkie, but I am stick'n to my guns! I am going to get a shih tzu.

On the job front, things are progressing very well. I am stiill loving my job. I am about half way through my 90 days..which is unbelievable! I am still very much enjoying, and am looking forward to my 90 day raise!

Again, I have changed my mind in the decor of my bathroom... he he he.. A few months ago, I wall papered it, however I have been unable to find assories to match. Therefore, when Gary goes to Guards in April..I am going to rip off the wall paper, and do a makeover. I hope to paint, have a new toilet, sink and new countertop put in....all white. I am tired of the pink! I am going to paint the walls a buttery creamy color.. with big, thick white crown moulding.. I think that it will look very nice, and I can buy associes that match! If I had more time, I think that I would a little make over on my living room. I would really like some new furniture and a different paint color.. I really could go on and on.. it's an ongoing battle in my head.

well, I better go pick out my clothes for tomorrow.. I am looking forward to the weekend!

Life Lately.

I really don't have anything too exciting to post. Life has been weird lately. Christmas day Angel died, on New Years day, Cesar died. Which has been a horrible thing to go through, especially when you love your cats as much as I did. While Cesar was fighting for his life, Gary was in Grand Rapids, participating in the Ford funeral. He shot cannons, stood at attention etc., he was gone for 7 days. In the meantime, I had a horrible cold and on top of it all, I started a new job.

On the job front, I am loving my job! I don't dread going to work at all! I know that it's still new and exciting, however, I can see myself at this job. The people are wonderful, they are fun, and are really nice. I am so thankful! It's really nice to say "I plan on being at this job for the rest of my working career!" I don't care to go anywhere else.

At home, Gary is back, and I am hoping life will level out. No more pet deaths...PLEASE! And the holidays are over.. Thank goodness! I really need to clean my house and rearrange. It feels really good to have a fresh slate this yr. I am looking forward to spring and summer.

On the adoption front, I have been doing some research on adopting from the State of MI. It's a TON cheaper! International adoptions are around 30k, however with MI adoptions, they are about $150. Much more feasible. However, I have a lot of concerns and questions doing a domestic adoption.. so pray for us, I am praying this will be our answer!

Well, I must be off to work!! Have a wonderful day!

In Loving Memory of our Buddy

Today, our little Buddy, Cesar passed away. He went in to have surgery done for his bladder infection, and didn't make it through. His little personality will be greatly missed. He added so much life into our household. He will be buried next to his sister, Angel. "We will miss you, Buddy."

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Gary and I stayed home for Christmas eve and enjoyed ham along with some good wine. For Christmas day, we then headed up to Gary's parents for a day with the Osbecks. We enjoyed opening gifts and seeing everyone.

When we got home, Gary notice that our, cat Angel was laying under the dining room table and wasn't moving. The poor kitty had passed away. We are not sure, what took her, but I am thankful that she wasn't in any pain. So, we buried our beloved pet, and buried her in a special place in our garden. I am going to miss her very much. She use to sit on my lap and pur while I drank my morning coffee.

Merry Christmas everyone!

In Loving Memory

This is loving memory, of my dear, sweet cat Angel. Angel passed away today, and she will be missed. Angel always knew when something was wrong. When Gary was deployed, she always slept with me. She will be greatly missed.

Patience is a Virtue

So, after my working interview last Monday, I waited all week to hear if I had gotten the job yet...NOTHING! So, I called Brenda (the office manager) this past Monday. Come to find out, Brenda had been out sick, and had planned on calling me that day. So, she wanted my references and arranged for another meeting...for this coming Monday (the 18th) My friend Patty who works for Dr. Zick, called me Tuesday night and said that she heard him say that he was getting to hire in Jen, (me) while talking to the other receptionist. Therefore, I am hoping and praying that when I go in on Monday, it's to tell me that I have this job, and they are going to tell me that I have the job, ask me when I can start, and then we can discuss finances. So, please keep me in your prayers, this would be a great job for me!
