Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone had a great Halloween! We had a pretty good one, we didn't do much, but all in all it was fun. I went and picked a few more Halloween decorations because our neighbors were out doing us, and I am not about to let that happen. So I got some of those huge blow up pumkins, lights and other goodies. I came home and set it all up... After Gary came home, we lit tons and tons of candles and put them in the window for a "haunting" effect... Then they all started to come! Not really a ton though, Gary and I planned for many more trick or treaters. My sister and brother in law brought our niece, she was dressed up as a princess. Lexi and I played.. Lexi likes me to chase her around the house and try to get her, she laughs hystericaly! All in all it was a fun evening, just not too eventful.

IT'S MY BLOG!

I titled this blog "IT'S MY BLOG" because every time I come here I have something to complain about.. However, it is my blog, so I will do with it as I please!

I have been trying so hard to find a job! Even just the thoughts about having a 9-5 job with a constant paycheck gives me butterflies in my stomach! I yurn for a time of having BENEFITS! I am learning slowly but surely that God is in control, and also letting him have control. It's been a tough, tough lesson to learn. So, while I was in the shower this morning, getting ready to take my resume' to a temp agency, a Bible verse popped into my head... "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" I then got to thinking about the concept. If I was walking on a darken path, and had a flash light in my hand, the flash light would only light up the path directly in front of me and not the whole path. Now applying this concept to my life, God might only light up my life enough to let me see a situation at a time and not my year, or life for that matter. In the mean time, I will have to trust that God is taking me down the right path, and that it's the right destination.. Whew! that's a hard thing to do! Trust, rely etc, etc... So when it comes to my job, I need to trust that God is leading me to the perfect job, and to just take one day at a time.. one resume' at a time, on interview at a time..

So, I am begging all of you please, please pray that the right job will com to pass!

Love you all! ~Jen

Confused

Well, as many of you know, I quit my job at the end of July. Unfortunatly I haven't found another job yet... Financally things have been okay. Not a lot of extra money, but enough that we are getting by. God has provided. I am taking a class in interior design, and I am hoping to one day be able to do it of my main job. However, I have put in my application the State, and they sent me a letter stating that I qualify for some jobs, and that I just need to take a test so then I can start applying for different jobs.. Jobs at the state are great pay, good benefits etc. Which the benefits would be great, and have a constant paycheck would be great at this point. However, here is my concern... Do I want to get back in the 9-5? Gary and I hope to have a baby within the next few years... what's going to happen there? Daycare five days a week? I am so CONFUSED! Please pray for me! I need a job and want a job, so that I can bring in a paycheck and help out. I just need some guidence...

All Tucker'd Out

This weekend was very enjoyable. Gary, Me and Coco headed up to my parents Friday evening so my Dad could take a look at our car which had been making a funny noise. Saturday, Gary and Dad got the part and fixed the car in less than an hour, so we had all day to play! Mom made pancakes, bacon etc. Then we just hung out and then we all decided to go see my Grandma. Grandma is 91 and has had a major brain tumor surgery a couple of years ago, and it's amazing to me how great she is doing. Grandma is living on her own and even has a golf cart that she likes to drive around her yard and property. After our wonderful visit at Grandma's Gary and I took off and drove all the way back to Lansing. So Sunday, Gary and I spent our time doing some lawn work and relaxing. Monday I spent most of my time getting ready for class. I am always relieved when class is done for the week. I am enjoying my class, but it's a ton of work! Today, Gary got up and went to work, and I got up and went to Pat's house to do some gardening for her... my, my, my, I am so tired and sore! I was there for 6 hrs, pulling raking and trimming I think that I could fall over right now! And just think, I get to do it all over again tomorrow! However, I am thankful that I am making money from doing this. Actually, I am very thankful for the money at this point..
