Lots to Do

I am planning on having some people from work over Friday night. Therefore, I have a ton to do! I need to clean, clean! I need to get some new umbrella lights, tiki torches etc. Oh, and re stock the bar. Busy, Busy...

On a sad note, some friends we know from up north, went through a ton of infertility, shots and the whole nine yards. Well, last month she found out she was pregnant with tripelets, and were very excitied about it, however, she lost all three of them just a week or so ago. So sad.

Tonight, Gary and I have made dinner, and now he is playing X-box.. My goals tonight are to water the flower, weed whip and vacuumm... and that point , I will crash into bed..

Just wondering if anyone is still reading my blog? I haven't gotten any comments lately... just wondering...

Musical Rooms

Once again, the Osbecks have switched rooms around. Our shower in our master bedroom has leak somewhere so therefore we can't use it until we get it fixed, so.... again, we switched our rooms around. Our bedroom is now in the mid-sized bedroom across the hall from our larger bathroom. Now, the office is in our big bedroom. It's such a big task to switch rooms around! First you have to empty the bedroom out, and then clean it.. load it back up.. and our computer desk is a BEAST! Although it's going to work out just fine, because I am going to try to make it like a TV room as well so Gary can watch sports while on the computer... he'll never leave this room! Gary and I worked on our big switch ALL day! We got up, started up some coffee, and then got right to work. I didn't shower until aroun 7pm. and I still have stuff I could do!

After our moving experience, we headed to some friends for yet another patio party. We had such a good time. Let me just say, that most of these guys are military, so they aren't right, but they have a terribly funny way about things. One of our friends, Mike decided he needed his military helmet to help him with his card game. So, needless to say, there he sat with his great helmet on with the microphone attached to it.. playing uchre. ..very classy group.

Today, Gary and I are re cooping from yesterday and last night. We got up and went to breakfast, ran to Target and now we are home. I grabbed a quick nap and then went and got a couple of whoppers for our lunch... now I have some jazz on and plan on maybe reading my "Traditional Home" magazine. Oh, and by the way.. I am in the market for a convertable. It probably won't happen until next yr.. or maybe the yr after.. but I am looking.. it has to be just right. I am thinking a Mustang..but we'll see.

I must say, I had a pretty good week at work! I kept on top of my work, and impressed my superiors.. at least that's what I hope. I am really enjoying my work, however I am so glad it's Friday evening!

We don't seem to have much on the agenda this weekend. Mowing the lawn, watering the flowers and so on.. Although we seem to have a pipe leak in our shower in our master bath. Gary has this crazy idea... get this--- since we can't shower in the master bath, he wants to mover our bedroom back into the midsized bedroom, make our office/den the big room (that is our bedroom now)... YIKES. These are his reasonings.... we would be next to the larger bath (right accross the hall) our midsized room is cooler during the summer, and with our 3 seasons room attached to our bedroom, when we have company, people always have to go throuh our bedroom.. so.... guess I might be doing this weekend??? Moving crap around. Yeppers! good times.. I really don't mind, it's just we can never stay in one bedroom very long. I am hoping that between gary and my dad, they can get the pipes fixed....soon!

Gary and I just got home from dinner.. I am stuffed and to the point where I am uncomfortable. So, I plan on putting some pj's on and not doing too much.. watching som tv and vegging...

Busy, But Not Sure With What...

I know that it has been awhile since I have posted, but I feel as if I have been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest... I am not sure why. The past few weekends have been great! I have been getting all my flowers in.. holy cow! Eight flats and about $150. in the hole.. I finally did it! I have flower beds running up each side of my front side walk. Usually I do impatients, however this year Gary wanted to do petunias. He specically wanted red, white and those purpley, blue type.. they look beautiful! It just took sooo many of them! I bought 3 flats, and then it just kept going from there.. 8 flats! But it will be gorgeous when they all fill in. In our back yard, my roses are coming in beautifully! And my sylvia are just huge this yr! Gorgeous purples!

On the work front, the job has been going really good. I like the work, for the most part and people are great. There are a few things here and there, however, nothing like I have dealt with before! However, I am still considered to be a "temp" my 500 hrs are up tomorrow... and no word of hiring me in full time. They say that Maximus (the company I have been working for) has put a freeze on hiring! So I am a little frusterated because I feel like I have been working hard to prove to them that I am a hard worker, and now they potentially might not have a place for me for awhile... however, I am thankful I am still bringing in paycheck every week!

Gary has been running and running. A couple of weeks ago, he ran in another race. He finished 10th place in his age bracket.. not too bad for someone that runs for fun... Gary and I have also been partying and partying it seems.. not sure how it all happens, but it does. Last weekend, Gary and I started on the back patio of a little pub in downtown Lansing, we then ended up at some friend's house on the back deck.. playing cards, and throw'n back some cold ones. (that was friday night) After a slight hangover Saturday, we jumped right back in the saddle and did it again Saturday night. Gary went to his friend's Joe's house to talk artillary (army stuff) I on the other hand, had a bunch of wild, party animals pick me up (friends) We went to a little dive in Lansing, called Art's Bar, had some pizza and a couple rounds of rum and cokes.. we then ventured into East Lansing, and went Harpers and sat out on the back deck singing, like only drunk people can do.. along with the dude who was the entertainment.. Good times! We then ended up at our house, for more drinks and cards.. WOWSERS! I am not 21 anymore! Sunday came rolling around, and I was tired and pretty much dehydrated, my friend Megan decided she wanted to come over to my house and chat along with some beer.. at that point.. I thought.. sure, why not? Why not act like I am 21?

Well, now that I have a persuaded you all into thinking we are lushes, I am going to go have dinner along with my hubby and drink water!
