Light at the End of the Tunnel

Well, I did it! I finally put in my application in to Ethan Allen! As most of you know, I have hated my job for the past few years. I mean, insurance really isn't my cup of tea. Therefore, I have explored many avenues in which I could go. And now that I am 30, I have decided for sure I would like to be an interior designer. I am signed up for school, and ready to go!! Wanting to learn more, and work with incredible designers, I decided I would apply for a job with Ethan Allen. So, Friday I called in sick (naughty, naughty) and put in my resume' and my application. I was so fortunate on how things went! I talked with the district manager, and then the sales manager. So keep your fingers crossed people, & pray, that working at Ethan Allen will become a reality for me! I am so tired of being miserable. I am ready for something new...

The Old Man In the Back

Have you ever had one of those days?? Today was one of them! In the first place, I hate my job. I hate the work, I strongly dislike the people & I long for the day when I can walk out of there and never look back... But nontheless, today was the worse! People in my department were argueing, and I just seemed like I couldn't get anything done! well, in the midst of the chaos, I decided to get up and walk around and clear my mind. During my walk, I stopped over to my friend Al's desk. Now, Al has been with the company for about 32 yrs. He walks with a limp, and has a off - the - wall sense of humor. He can make me laugh so hard I think that I am going to wet myself! At any rate, I sat down and started to chat with my buddy Al. We sat and laughed at people as they walked by, made fun of the manager and discussed our favorite Starbuck's coffee. On the way back to my desk, I felt happier... my good ol' buddy Al.. The old man in the back pulled me through once again!

The Party is Over

It's over.. the end to a fun weekend.. I didn't work my buns off as usual. Our weekend kicked off Friday night on the back deck at the Brookshire restaurant & golf course in Williamston w/ some good friends. We drank beer and listened to the band, after a great dinner. After we had a few to drink, we went over to some friends, Robert and Lona's and had more to drink. We carried on until about 2am. We had such a great time!! Saturday, we got to go to a Lugnuts game and watch the fireworks. Sunday, I was woke up by Gary who brought me breakfast in bed. YUMMY!! Now, it's time for reality to set back in, and go to work! YUCK!

Sweet Release!

We've made it to hump day! Just two more days to go until the blessed this weekend! In the spirit of celebrating the middle of this hot week, gary and I decided to go to "Hooters" for some good 'ol cold beer and wings. We sat out on the patio, and enjoyed ourselves and munched on over priced, super greasy wings. YUM! YUM! It was very relaxing! Just chatting w/ my hubby about the days events. After our fab meal, I had scheduled a one hour massage to help destress me. My life has been very stressful lately, and it has sure taken it's toll on my body. So I cruised up to Creative Wellness for my appointmet. She massaged, pulled on my legs, rubbed my feet and buttocks! I could hardly move when she was done! I feel like a new woman! My sinuses cleared, my back feels so much better.... SWEET RELEASE!

Just Plain Tired

Well, I've done it again! I have managed to work my weekend away! Saturday I mowed the lawn, weed whipped, edge trimmed, put in new stone, mulch & got an oil change. As if I didn't get enough punishment, Sunday I got up, painted, baked, cleaned & did some laundry. Now I am so tired, I can hardly stand up... I will be glad to get back to work tomorrow so I can sit on my butt all day.. One day I will learn my lesson, and take some time to relax during the weekend!!

TGIF!

I don't know what it is! But this four day week is kill'n me! I am soo glad it's Friday!! WHOO -HOO!! I do feel bad for Gary, he has National Guards this weekend and can't take advantage of this beautiful weekend. But not to worry, our little Gary is quite the little trooper. He will go to Camp Grayling and train his men. He will show them what it's like to be a true solider.. GOOD JOB, DEAR! I on the other hand, will spend my weekend, mowing the lawn, doing laundry, and of course, clean the house. Now who's the lucky girl?? HUH? Well, all this chat about work has made me tired. I think I am going to grab a BIG glass of wine, and who knows... watch a rerun or something!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Life at the Osbecks

Well Ladies & Gentlemen,

Welcome to the Osbeck's first blog. Hang on to your hats, because this could be a little rough!

Life here at the Osbecks, is sometimes what some might call BORING! We don't have kids, but we do have 2 fluffy spoiled cats & one overgrown lap dog, COCO. She is a big, stinky, chocolate lab, but we love her anyway. Gary and I spend most of our time working around the house. In the summer, we are die hard lawn people. You know, those people who spend hour after hour on Saturdays, mowing, planting, edging, weed whipping, putting in fresh mulch... yep! Thats us! And it gets worse... on Saturday & Sunday mornings, we get up, drink coffee and read the paper while watching the news... we are LAME! OH, we are lame! Well, Okay maybe not SO lame! Gary is in the National Guards (I am so proud of my man) and I Jen will be one day an interior designer.. and a darn good one at that! So good, all you people reading this will have to take out second mortgages just to afford me... JUST KIDDING! I might be able to work out a deal... (if i like you, and you don't piss me off!)

Well, it's almost bed time! I need my beauty sleep..

Blog atcha later!
