Too Much Baby Talk

My friend Stacy just had her baby, and he is beautiful! It is amazing how much they change from day to day, and it is amazing to watch Stacy go from being crazy and wild to being so careful about her baby and everything must be perfect! However, I don't think that I could take another word about breast feeding. And people being so "icky poo" about all of it. I actually get a little concerned about how much it all turns my stomach! When my sister had her baby, I had to leave the house because all of the "diaper & breast feeding talk' just got under my skin. I don't know that I should admit this all via blogging because I don't mean to sound selfish or cold hearted, however if I have to hear anything more about suckeling I am going to burst!

It's a BOY!

As many of you know, my friend Stacy is prego or I guess I should was. This morning Stacy gave birth to Landen Jay Tucker Christensen who was 7lbs 13oz, 20 3/4 inches long and beautiful! I was fortunate enough to be able to be in the room during delivery. It was very interesting to see all of it come into play..in the midst of all the pushing, Stacy turned to me and said "Jen this pregnancy thing is not all it's cracked up to be, don't do it.." And after I saw what all came out, I thought maybe not being able to get pregnant isn't a bad thing!

I am so glad for Stacy and Eric! It will so much fun to watch Landen grow up.

A Day Off

It's Monday, so both Gary and I got up at the crack of dawn to get to work. When I got to work, after checking with the rest of the office, they sent me home for the day because they nothing for me to do (bummer). Honestly, I was really bummed, because it's not paid time off, so therefore I don't get pd. However, it is nice to have a little time off. So on my way home, I decided to call Gary and let him know that I am home for the day. Gary told me is was not feeling well so he was coming home at lunch. So we are both home relaxing.. however, I am thinking about doing some painting.. we'll see.. .

A Busy Day

It has been one heck of a day. I decided a while ago to change around our rooms... I wanted to make the room that was our office our guest room, and the room that was our quest room our office. It sounds crazy I know, however the room that was our quest room is bigger and since our computer desk is HUGE it just made sense. However, let me just tell you about the day I had. I thought it would be a small task that wouldn't take too long so I could get to painting. Since the our desk is huge we had to unscrew it all so that we could move it through one door into the next door.. AUUUGGHH!!! Gary was driving me nuts! He always second guesses me and won't listen to me at all. Anyway, it was very fursterating. Gary's friends kept calling him and asking to meet them down at the bar to have some drinks and watch the game.. I was begging him to go just to get him out of my hair. I love the man to death... but he will pick through everything peice by peice and I just wanted to get this project done.. At any rate, I am very glad this project done... now for the fun stuff! Painting and putting the room together! therefore, I am off to Lowes.. have a good one!

It's Over.

I am taking a class in Microsoft Office and tonight was my first class. I was a little nervous.. but I did just fine and am glad it's over. It's quite a relief. I don't know why, but I get very nervous worked up over the darn things. Also, I am just glad that the week is coming to close. I look forward to doing things around the house this weekend. I have quite a few plans lined up.. I am hoping to paint.. yee haa! I have my guest bedroom all figured out.. well, almost... I have a wall color picked out, but I also am looking for a new light fixture and deciding what I am going to do with my guest bed.. to paint or not to paint? And if so, what color? And I found a light fixture I like but not in the right finish..Should I keep looking? Or should I buy it, and do my own finish?? I am wearing myself out... better hit the hay.

Happy Freak'n Valentines!

Okay, it's Valentines Day....Gary and I USE to have a romantic, candlelight dinner with roses, champagne .. I even had jelwrey sent to me from time to time!! Now I think that we are on a downward spiral. I had a card set out for Gary this morning, and he got me a card on his lunch hour.. So I thought that at least we could aim for the romantic dinner and he decided that Xbox was a little more important.. and after some wonderful chicken dish he threw together, he decided he would make it his "do laundry" night. Now, he is in working out on the eliptical.. FANTASTIC.... oh, and I ain't getting any tonight.. if ya know what I mean.

Another Fine Weekend

It's been a pretty good weekend. Gary was gone to guards and although I miss him, I have enjoyed my time alone. Friday night I went over to my friend Stacy's house and we watched a movie and chatted. Saturday I went over to some friend's house for taco's and some relaxation. Today I am cleaning, and listening to some jazz. I bleached my bathroom and about passed out!
So I thought I better take a break from it. Whew! I hate a dirty bathroom! I hate it when you look down and see hairs, and a gross sink, it just turns my stomach! I also hate dust! Oh, and I also despise dirty dishes piled up around the sink! There is no need for that especially when you have a dishwasher! Rinse the dish off, and put it in the dishwasher, and if the dishwasher is full, run it! Okay, sorry about the rabbit trail.. Anyway my plan is to finish cleaning, got to Target and then get something going for dinner because Gary will be home around 5 or 6. Oh, and I need to sit down and make out some lists. I am compiling some lists of some things that need to be done around the house. Gary and I have decided we are moving our office to the bigger spare bedroom and making the small room the guest bedroom. Therefore, I will need to paint, pull up carpet etc. I also am planning a small make over on my burgandy bathroom. I want to wall paper it, new carpeting, a new light fixture and then some new assories. I want to to be over the top luxurious. A type of bathroom that you feel like lighting some candles and take a long hot bath. Also on my list, I am adding making my hallway a photo gallery. I want it to be full of friends and family. .....whew! I better get busy. I hope all is well with everyone....
